About us
News Kenya is the one place to find all — or very nearly all — of the news that matters to Kenyans, from Kenya's own newsrooms and from the biggest international broadcasters, gathered onto a single, fast and easy-to-read website.
THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
Kenya has a vibrant, competitive media scene. Great stories break on Capital FM, Kenyans.co.ke, KBC, the Kenya News Agency, The Standard, Business Daily, The East African, Nation, Taifa Leo, The Star, Citizen Digital, K24, Tuko and many more. Meanwhile, what happens in the world — in Nairobi's partners, markets and neighbours — is reported by the BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, DW, France 24, NPR, CNN and others. Following all of them means a dozen open tabs, a dozen apps and a lot of lost time. News Kenya brings them together so you do not have to hunt.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
• Breaking news first. Three live breaking-news lines at the very top of the homepage update automatically the moment publishers flag a developing story.
• Kenyan news, clearly separated. Politics, business, sports, entertainment, technology, lifestyle and trending stories from Kenyan outlets, all in one stream.
• International news, in its own section. Major world headlines from leading international broadcasters and newspapers sit in their own clearly labelled World section, so you can choose Kenya, the world, or both.
• Every story credits its source. We show the headline, a short summary and the picture the publisher provides, and then send you straight to the original article. We never copy full articles or claim anyone else's work as our own: the credit, the traffic and the copyright all stay with the publishers who did the reporting.
• Search and filters. Find a story by keyword, category, source or date, and see what the country is reading right now under Trending.
• Fast, mobile-friendly and light on data. Built for the phones most Kenyans use, with a clean layout, dark mode and no clutter.
THE KENYAN CLASSIFIEDS MARKETPLACE
Beside the news, we run a trusted classifieds marketplace where individuals and businesses can advertise vehicles, property, jobs, electronics, services and more to a large local audience. Adverts are paid for in Kenya Shillings (including by M-Pesa), reviewed by our team before they go live, and expire automatically so listings stay fresh. Businesses can also book banner and panel advertising beside the news.
OUR PRINCIPLES
• Credit where it is due. We aggregate; the journalists and publishers create. If a publisher would like a feed changed or removed, they only need to ask.
• Transparency. We label what is news and what is advertising, and we clearly mark promoted and featured adverts.
• Privacy and choice. You decide which cookies we use, and we handle your personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for the detail.
• No fake news manufacturing. We do not write or edit the stories we link to. Opinions in the linked articles belong to their authors and publishers.
